INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Application Procedure for Entry into the Certificate/ Diploma Programmes for International students
STEP 1 - PREPARATION
All International Students are require to submit the following documents:
01. A FULLY COMPLETED INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSION
An international application form can be downloaded from our Web site link
02. A NONREFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE OF USD 65.00 IS REQUIRED
02. A NONREFUNDABLE VISA PROCESSING FEE OF USD 500.00 IS REQUIRED
03. A PARTIAL COURSE FEES OF USD 2,000.00 IS REQUIRED. REFUNDABLE IF APPLICATION REJECTED
04. OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFCATE OR TESTIMONIAL
05. OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS OR EQUIVALENT
Students must have completed or anticipate completing high school prior to their enrollment.
06. OFFICIAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY QUALIFICATION [TOFEL/ IELTS] OR EQUIVALENT (If Applicable)
07. A DOCTOR'S CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS BY GOVERNMENT CLINIC OR HOSPITAL
08. PHOTOCOPIES* THREE (3) SETS OF STUDENT PASSPORT
On A4 size paper, of ALL pages of the student's Passport (must be valid for at least 12 months before expiry) including the blank pages plus the front and back cover.
*Note: a. Students should ensure that all photocopied documents are in good quality and are certified as true copies by an appropriate authority (e.g. police commissioner/ magistrate/ headmaster/ notary public)
b. Eight (8) copies of recent passport-size colour photographs taken against a blue background (with the student's name and passport number clearly written on the reverse side of every photograph). The photographs should be full face without sunglasses or head-covering unless you always wear it on religious belief or ethnic background.
STEP 2 - PAYMENT METHOD
All International Students are require for payment of the Application Fees of USD 65.00, VISA Processing Fee of USD 500.00 and Partial Course Fees of USD2000 must be made before or with the completed International Student Application Form. Payment of fees can be made by one of the following methods:

** Note
a. For payment made by TT, you are required to fax the payment receipt with your full name and contact number to the International Office, Equator Academy of Art at Fax No: +604 264 4766 for our onward actions.
b. All Fees are NOT refundable (except when stated).
c. Any balance left after bank charges will be credited into the student's tuition fee account. Once the payment is made through telegraphic transfer (T T), please send an e-mail to alert our International Office at: info@equator-academy.edu.my

e. Please do not pay any other fees to any other people.
STEP 3 - AIR MAIL OR COURIER THE FORMS & DOCUMENTS TO EAA
Please send the completed International Student Application Form, the documents and the Banker's cheque/ T T payment receipt by air mail or courier service to the following address:

STEP 4 - LETTER OF OFFER BY EQUATOR ACADEMY OF ART
Upon receiving the COMPLETED Application Form, the required documents plus the applications fees, partial course fees and provided the student meets the entry requirements, Equator Academy of Art (EAA) will email a scanned copy of the Letter of Offer to the student plus a Reply Form to the Letter of Offer.
Once you have accepted the offer as a student and paid all the required fees, EAA will submit the appropriate documents to the Ministry of Higher Education and the Immigration Department in Malaysia to begin processing the Visa Approval Application. This process will take about 30 days.
EAA Sends the Student Visa
When remittance of the required fees together with the rental and deposit for off-campus residence (as stated in the Letter of Offer) have been credited to Equator's bank account via Banker's cheque / Telegraphic Transfer, EAA will courier the original Letter of Offer and the Student Visa to the student.
***Note: Class Attendance
All international students must attain at least 80% attendance in class or at least 80% attendance for each individual subject. Students unable to attend classes must substantiate their absence with supporting medical evidence or equivalent.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
1. The student pass is non-transferable and permits the student to study at Equator Academy of Art only.
2. EAA reserves the right to cancel the student pass of any international student found to be contravening any rules & regulations of the college or the laws of Malaysia.
3. International students are only allowed to commence studies at EAA after being granted a student pass by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
4. International students should not engage in any activity contravening any laws enforced in Malaysia. Any student found guilty of any criminal offence shall be subjected to Malaysian laws or be deported immediately.
5. The college reserves the right to change the rules and regulations without prior notice.

The college's entry requirements are set in order to make sure that all students are capable of succeeding in their chosen field and that it meets the Malaysian Government's rulings.
