Welcome to Equator Academy of Art, the Art & Design Specialist. It gives me great pleasure to introduce Equator to each and everyone of you.

Equator Academy of Art & Design started its operations in 1987 and has since grown from strength to strength to become the largest Art & Design College in Northern region, Malaysia. Today, we have two campuses in the tropical island of Penang. Penang, with its rich cultural heritage, is ideal as an inspirational environment for students to develop their creativity.

Equator brings out the widest expression of its students' creative talents through its unique cross-disciplinary learning, research and practical training, anchored in an environment whereby theory and practice are integrated. This ensures graduates success in a continually changing and increasingly demanding market.

In order to remain current, we frequently review and update our facilities, resources and equipment, offering programmes that are relevant to society's needs. The academy also offers an environment of study excellence with qualified professional artists, designers and educators.

Equator is one of the government approved colleges authorised to accept foreign students. Students can enrol in the Full-Time Diploma course which allows for credit transfers into Overseas Degree programmes with one of our partner universities. Enquiries are welcome through phone, fax, or email for our annual intakes in January, March, and July.
